Amazingly compact and simple to use, this Bushnell Scout 1000 rangefinder features Bushnell's exclusive Angle Range Compensation (ARC) technology, which accounts for terrain angle to give you an accurate "shoots-like" distance--all with the tap of a button. A Bow mode provides true horizontal distance from 5 to 99 yards, while the Rifle mode provides bullet-drop/holdover data in inches from 100 to 800 yards. This weather-resistant rangefinder features a black body, built-in inclinometer, fully multi-coated optics, and built-in tripod mount.
Targeting Modes
- Bow: Provides true horizontal distance from 5 to 99 yards based on angle.
- Rifle Mode: Select the ballistic group of your firearm (guidelines supplied). When you range your target, an inclinometer displays the angle and provides bullet-drop/holdover in inches (up to 99") from 100 to 600 yards.
- SCAN: Allows you to pan across the landscape while viewing a continuously updated LCD display of the distances between you and the targets you scan.
- BullsEye: Geared for close-range use, this mode acquires the distances of small targets and game without inadvertently measuring background target distances. When more than one object is acquired, the closer of the two objects is shown on the LCD display.
- Brush: Ignores the foreground, such as brush, boulders and tree branches, and provides distances on the LCD display to background objects only.

How a Laser Rangefinder Works
Bushnell's Yardage Pro rangefinders use an invisible, eye-safe Class 1 Laser beam (as classified by the FDA) which is "bounced" off distant objects with the press of a button. Then, the rangefinder's high-speed digital clock measures the time it took for a laser beam to reach a target and return to the unit. Next, using advanced digital electronics, the rangefinder instantly calculates the distance within ±1 yard and shows the range in either yards or meters on a through-the-lens LCD Display. The entire process is so fast that less than a second elapses between the time you press the button to generate a laser beam to the time the exact range to your target is displayed.

Easy to use, light weight and perfect range everytime. 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful: Reviews were accurate--Great Product, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Bushnell Scout 1000 ARC Laser Range Finder (Sports) Overall the product was great. I was buying it for bowhunting, gunhunting, range shooting and golf. The different modes for bows and guns are super cool. Before the lovefest (see below) I will start with the semi negative things I would have liked to know before buying: A few caveats: 1. I wear both glasses and contacts and it works well with each, but I definitely prefer putting it all the way up to my eye with or without contacts. There is a much larger field of view that way. Glasses wearers, be aware of that. 2. I can't quite figure out the design of the neckstrap. Hooking it up to the unit is like any other lanyard, but the head hole itself has another two loop design, and I can't find anything about it online. Small gripe; I may just be stupid, and I can still use the strap. 3. It only gives readouts in whole yards. I have seen other range finders that give it to tenths of yards. This doesn't make a difference to me, but I was...
